Crews Continue to Battle Blaze Near Auberry

Firefighters continue to get the upper hand on wildfire in eastern Fresno County

The fire started Saturday afternoon on Highway 168 near Auberry and the four lanes. Fire officials say the blaze is now 85 percent contained.
So far its burned 138 acres.

Investigators believe a cigarette, likely thrown from a car, started the fire.
Eight firefighters have been injured while battling the blaze. The cost to fight the fire so far is around $380,000.
