A Spanish dentist has been arrested over claims he pulled out a patient's teeth after an argument over the bill.

The 39-year-old, named only as FJGS, allegedly ripped out several replacement teeth he had already implanted in his middle-aged female patient's mouth following a heated discussion.

The dentist, from Zaragoza, Spain was detained by police on suspicion of causing 'serious injury' in February. The case has only come to light today.

The woman, ABC newspaper reported, had been receiving treatment from the dentist for several months when she queried the amount she was paying.

Unsure as to why her bill had amounted to thousands of Euros, she confronted him about the matter before the two had an argument.
