Kings County sheriff's deputies arrest a man for abusing sheep near Hanford, resulting in the deaths of several of the animals.

Dario Yachachin, 34, was employed as a sheep herder in the Hanford area and was caught on video camera by a neighbor kicking, hitting, dragging and flinging lambs into the air.

When deputies responded to the location near 17th Avenue and Hanford-Armona Road, they discovered multiple dead lambs on the property. The video evidence was seized and reviewed, ultimately identifying Yachachin as the suspect and he was taken into custody.

Yachachin is a Peruvian immigrant and lived inside a portable travel trailer at the location of the sheep herd.
