Scientists announced Tuesday that they believe they have found a crucial building block of the universe, the so-called God Particle.
The particle's existence was predicted nearly 50 years ago but it's taken all this time to build the tools to detect it.
The discovery has a valley connection -- Simon Gonzalez was with a group of Fresno State graduate students visiting Europe to help on the project.
Simon says the work he did on the project was humbling and unlike anything he's ever done before.
