Execs at Bankrupt Hostess To Receive $1.7 Billion in Bonuses

Executives at the now-bankrupt Hostess Brands will receive deals even sweeter than a Twinkie.

A bankruptcy judge has ruled that bonuses of up to $1.75 million may be distributed. They will only be paid if the company "[achieves] a set of specific tasks and goals ... designed to speed and lower the cost of the wind-down," said a Hostess spokesman.

One small piece of good news is that the company has received interest from more than 110 bidders on its iconic brands — good news for Twinkie lovers, if cold comfort for the 18,000 workers now out of a job.
