Major retailers are extending their hours. Many people are extending their purchasing power.
Macy's is open around the clock until Sunday. Toys "R" Us is staying open 24 hours a day into Christmas eve.
Many thought that would help alleviate the crowds. Although the same major retailers are also forecasting robust holiday sales.
There's evidence of that all over the Central Valley. Parking was at a premium at Fashion Fair Mall.
The never-closing Toys "R" Us in Clovis had long lines in the checkout aisles. Crowds are expected to grow even larger this weekend.
