It's been dragging on for over a year, and now it's coming to an end. Fresno City leaders are wrapping up a labor dispute.

They've been asking FAX bus drivers for concessions, including a three percent pay reduction. The union opposes the contract's terms.

They say bus drivers haven't seen a raise in over four years. Operating a city bus is not an easy job.

Fresno is looking to close a multi-million dollar budget shortfall. City leaders say everyone has to chip in.

The city council set a deadline of November 1st to reach an agreement. If the two sides can't find common ground, council members say they are within their legal rights to impose contract terms without the approval of bus drivers.
