A mother had to be rescued by firefighters after she went to a swimming pool with her young daughter and her belly button ring became entangled in a drain.

The woman from Milken in Colorado, who asked not to be named, got into problems as she was playing with her child in just six inches water at Greeley Family Funplex. 'I laid down to stay warm in the water, on my belly, I couldn’t get back up because I was stuck,' she said.

She spent about 30 minutes trying to dislodge the spiral-shaped ring herself, but eventually had to turn to the poolside lifeguards for assistance.
