Four Arrested, Including Two Teens, for Merced County Burglaries

Detectives in Merced have arrested four people, including two teenagers, linked to several burglaries in the Gustine area.

The burglaries took place over several days early in December in in two homes which several electronics, flat screen tv's, video game consoles, and other items were stolen out of homes in the area.

Detective's were led to a home, also in Gustine, where they found 20 year old Manual Viera and 32 year old Roberto Martinez inside the residence, along with approximately 95% of the stolen property from the two burglaries.

Also arrested were a 16 and 17 year old Hispanic male.

Viera remains in custody on three counts of burglary, two counts of possession of stolen property and two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime with $130,000 bail.

Martinez remains on $125,000 bail on two counts of burglary, two counts of possession of stolen property and two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime.

The 17 year old was booked for burglary, possession of stolen property and being a convicted felon in possession of ammunition and remains in Juvenile Hall without bail.

The 16 year old was arrested and released to his parents on charges of burglary.
