The World Health Organization has ranked cities around the world on their amount of particulate pollution in the air. Fresno ranked second in the U.S. According to the report, traffic congestion and industry contribute to the pollution problems throughout the city.
The Visalia area was 7th on the list, with Hanford-Corcoran coming in 8th. Bakersfield took the top spot.
