(Press Release) A Selma man, wanted in connection with the murder of Adan Flores-Rodriguez earlier this month has been arrested. 27-year-old Roberto Jose Navarro was taken into custody Tuesday morning in southern California.

Monday, the Sheriff’s Office released information to the media regarding Navarro being wanted in connection with Flores-Rodriguez’s murder.

At about 1:00 a.m. Monday morning, the Sheriff’s Office received a tip that Navarro was possibly staying at a relative’s house in Glendale. His vehicle was also apparently at the location.

Sheriff’s detectives enlisted the help of the U.S. Marshals Service who immediately responded to the home and spotted Navarro’s vehicle.

Surveillance was started, and shortly after 7:00 a.m., Marshals saw Navarro leave the home. He was taken into custody without incident, and is being held at the Glendale Police Department.

Sheriff’s detectives traveled to Glendale to continue the investigation, and will return Navarro to Fresno late Tuesday.

When Navarro gets back to Fresno, he will be booked into the Fresno County Jail on a charge of murder, and an outstanding burglary warrant out of southern California.

Detectives are still asking anyone with information on this case to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 488-3111.
