Brian Keith Murphy, 39, of Fresno, was sentenced Monday by United
States District Judge Lawrence J. O’Neill to eight years and one month in prison for receipt of child pornography, United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced.
In addition to the prison sentence, Murphy will be required to register as a sex offender and will be on supervised release for 15 years during which his access to computers, the internet, and minors will be
restricted.
According to court documents, Murphy used a file-sharing program to receive on his computer photographs and videos depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Many of the images depicted prepubescent minors, and several depicted images of violence or sadistic or masochistic conduct.
