Since the Fresno City Council's decision to make outdoor cultivation of marijuana illegal, Fresno police say they've been inundated with calls.
That has led Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer to set up a hotline for tips, available to city residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The number is 621-WEED, or 621-9333.
Officials say the hotline isn't just for outdoor marijuana grows, though. It can be used for any anonymous narcotics tip. Fresno PD also offers the same service online, in the tips section of the police department website.
