The other big story of the day is California's rising gas prices. Prices across the Golden State skyrocketed overnight.

The average price in Fresno is currently $4.47. The state average is $4.55 which is the highest in the country.

In Calabasas, the price at one station for a gallon of regular was $5.69.

The national average is just under three dollars and 80 cents. The price spikes come after a dramatic increase in wholesale prices for fuel.
