57-year-old Linda Penner of Fresno, has been appointed to the Board of State and Community Corrections.
Penner has been chief probation officer at the Fresno County Probation Department since 2005, where she has served in multiple positions since 1977, including division director of adult probation, director of juvenile probation, probation services manager and deputy probation officer.
The position requires Senate confirmation and there is no compensation.
