A little girl in Houston was the victim of a robbery in broad daylight on Tuesday, when a stranger knocked her down and stole her iPad.
The 3-year-old was in a parking lot with her mother near their home when the incident occurred. Her mother, who spoke to KPRC-TV news but declined to be identified, said the robbery happened when a woman approached her daughter while she was momentarily preoccupied with her 9-month-old baby.
“When I turned around to grab the baby from the car seat, she came running forward to her and knocked her down — took her iPad,” the mother said.
She said she noticed the woman walking with a man from a neighboring apartment complex, and believes they were intentionally targeting her and her daughter. “They were waiting for us . . . so they could, I guess, take the iPad,” she told the TV station.
The little girl was not injured in the incident but remains shaken up.
“What the hell? Why would you do that to a 3-year-old girl?” the mother said. “Get a job.”
