Police in Merced are investigating a homicide.
It happened earlier today on Park Avenue and G streets at an apartment complex.
Police say a witness told them he heard three gunshots and then saw a man running in the area.
Upon searching one of the units, police found a man with a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Not long after, police received another call of a person being robbed at gunpoint not far from the complex.
They were able to catch that suspect.
Investigators are trying to determine if that man is connected to the homicide.
