Two suspects have been arrested after allegedly kidnapping a man, robbing him and forcing him to drive them to a Hawthorne, California strip club, authorities said.

The men were discovered inside the club watching a performance early Wednesday, authorities said.

Miguel Ortiz, 33, and Sergio Maldonado were arrested on suspicion of robbery and kidnapping in a scheme that began shortly after midnight when they allegedly approached a man standing in front of a residence, Los Angeles Sheriff's Capt. Eli Vera said.

The men demanded that the victim give them a ride to an undisclosed location. Fearing the suspects were gang members, the victim complied, Vera said.
