Revitalization efforts in one central Fresno neighborhood got a big boost on Thursday after city officials unveiled two homes that were reconstructed in the Lowell neighborhood.

The two dilapidated homes got a complete makeover and are now up for sale.

The city teamed up with the housing authority to get the project finished, plus, students with Fresno City College's housing reconstruction training program did all the work allowing them to get real hands on experience.

Michael Lacko, an instructor at Fresno City College says many of the students that worked on the projects can now apply this experience to getting jobs in the work-force.
