On Wednesday, August 29, 2012, a Madera County Superior Court
jury found David Gary Jaquez guilty of 4 felony counts of child molestation, according to Michael R. Keitz, District Attorney for Madera County.
During the trial, evidence was introduced that Jaquez, 59, of Madera, began molesting a 7 year old girl in February 2009. The molestation continued until November 2011 when the victim reported the abuse to a school employee.
Prosecuting Deputy District Attorney, Sally Moreno, stated the case could not have come to its successful conclusion without the victim’s exceptional courage in reporting the incident, cooperating with the Madera Police Department and testifying in court.
Jaquez is to be sentenced on September 27th in the Madera County Superior Court.
