A California man accused of raping a woman he met through a Christian dating website may have a long history of sexually assaulting woman, prosecutors believe.

Del Mar man Sean Patrick Banks was arrest Monday on suspicion of two sex-assault charges and one count of residential burglary.

Banks, 37, entered a not guilty plea two days later.

After posting $500,000 bail he was released on his own recognizance.

Police say Banks found his alleged victim on Christianmingle.com using the name 'Rarity.'

He also contacted women on the site using the names 'Rylan Butterwood' and 'Rylan Harbough.'

He visited her at her La Mesa home, where he allegedly raped her.

If convicted Banks faces 36 years to life in prison.
