A Missouri man was arrested during an interview with the state Highway Patrol when he admitted to the interviewer that he had molested children.

Christopher Stringham, of Park Hills, Mo., has been charged with 20 counts of first-degree statutory sodomy.

During the interview last month, the 26-year-old jobseeker was asked if he had ever engaged in a sexual crime he could be convicted of. He said yes. Stringham, who had not previously been convicted of the crime, confessed to inappropriately touching a child several times.

He implied to the interviewing sergeant that each time was an accident according to a local news station.''

It's been reported a judge lowered Stringham's bond Tuesday from $500,000 to $25,000. If released, he will be ordered to wear a monitoring bracelet.
