We now know the name of the young man shot and killed by Fresno police on Wednesday. He's been identified as 22-year-old Elias Monge.

The shooting happened Wednesday morning in northeast Fresno. Police got several 9-1-1 calls of a man firing a shotgun in his front yard. After a 10 minute stand-off police say Monge raised his gun and pointed it at officers and that's when they opened fire.

A total of six officers are now on paid administrative leave.

This was the eighth officer involved shooting in Fresno this year.
