Madera County authorities have launched a murder investigation after a body was found by a farmer.
According to the sheriff's department the decomposed body of a man was found in a cornfield off of Avenue 14 near Road 9.
Deputies say the victim is 18-year-old Pete Rios Junior of Chowchilla. Rios was last seen on October 7th in Chowchilla.
