Minnesota Bar Serves Up Pregnancy Tests

September 17, 2012 Updated Sep 17, 2012 at 1:54 PM PDT

Pub 500 in Mankato, Minnesota is just like any other bar — that is, until you step foot into the women's restroom.

That's because the bar offers patrons a rather unorthodox opportunity. In addition to drinking, eating, and listening to music, female customers at Pub 500 can also pop into the bathroom for a quick pregnancy test.

According to the New York Times, Pub 500 has a pregnancy test dispenser on the wall of the women's bathroom.

Women can grab a test for a three-dollar swipe of a credit card. The bar is the first ever to sell pregnancy tests, says the man who installed the dispenser, Jody Allen Crowe, founder of Healthy Brains for Children. His organization attempts to lower the rate of fetal alcohol syndrome.
