Good advice from your mom: Eat your veggies, brush your teeth, and don’t play with handguns - even fake ones.

A Mississippi man was disarmed by his mother when he tried to rob a convenience store clerk by waving a bogus weapon, authorities said.
And the Mommy-and-Clyde robbery in Brandon, Miss., was caught on surviellance video.

Roy Mitchell, 22, rolls up to the counter with a bag of Doritos before pulling the ersatz gun from his waistand. Seconds later, mom Sharron Mitchell steps into the frame.

“The mother sees the commotion, grabs the gun out of the boy’s hand and pushes him out of the store,” said Chris Butts, assistant police chief in Brandon.

Mitchell, the anti-Ma Barker, reportedly apologized and asked the clerk not to call the cops on her son. The clerk ignored her request and quickly dialed 911.

Mom and son left D’s One-Stop Food Mart after the foiled Tuesday morning heist, but cops stopped their car a short time later and arrested Roy.

He was charged with armed robbery and ordered held on $300,000 bond at the Rankin County Jail.
