Mother Designs Line of Swimmable Mermaid Tails

A mother-of-three inspired by her daughters' love of sea creatures has created a line of swimmable mermaid tails.

Monika Naumann founded 3-Fins after coming home one day to find that her daughters were swimming in their backyard pool in Surrey, Canada, in what appeared to be mermaid tails with flippers.

Her mermaid-obsessed daughters, Megan, Julia and Kristy, had raided her closet and fashioned the creations out of some nylon pants, according to Canada’s The Province newspaper.

After scouring the net to purchase durable mermaid tails for her daughter, Naumann found that none of them were of good quality – so she decided to make them herself.

She set up 3-Fins which designs tailor-made, fully-functioning Mermaid tails and has sold more than two-dozen since January.
