Opening arguments began today in the trial of a valley Marine sergeant accused of attacking his family.
Sergeant Dejon Baskin of Reedley is accused of stabbing his estranged wife and her brother back in 2009. He's also accused of stabbing his wife's mother.
During opening statements, prosecutors described the bloody scene in mid july of 2009. The 911 tape, as well as a taped interviews with Baskin, is expected to be heard during the trial.
Baskin's attorney says he'll wait until the prosecution presents its case before making his opening remarks.
