(Press Release) On Friday, Corcoran PD detectives assisted California Department of Corrections state parole agents with checking an apartment in the 2500 block of Hanna Avenue for a parolee who was out of compliance with his conditions of parole.
Officers searched the apartment and the parolee, 25-year-old Kyle Leon Gear, was found inside his bedroom, with 27-year-old Nahiely Diaz. Two other people were contacted inside the living room of the apartment, identified as 25-year-old Robert Rogers and 29-year-old Jessica Rogers. Six children were inside the apartment ranging in age from 6-months-old to 5-years-old.
During a search of Gear's bedroom, officers found about 4.2 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia consistent with the sales of narcotics. Gear, Diaz, R. Rogers and J. Rogers were determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance, and were arrested. Child Protective Services was called to remove the six children from the apartment.
Gear and Diaz were charged with possession for sales of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment. Both were booked into the Kings County Jail and are being held on $80,000.00 bail. Gear was also booked for violation of parole. R. Rogers and J. Rogers were booked into the Corcoran PD city jail on a charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance and later released on a citation to appear in the Kings County Superior Court.
