(Press Release) The Visalia Police Department conducted undercover massage parlor investigations after receiving citizen complaints of prostitution occurring at two massage parlors.
During the operation an undercover officer from the Visalia Police Department was solicited for sex while receiving massages at Rejuvenation Spa near Mineral King and Dunworth, and Evergreen Massage near Oak and Conyer. 54-year-old Shu Rong Jin and 61-year-old Xiuying Yang were arrested and booked into the Tulare County Bob Wiley Detention Facility under charges for solicitation of prostitution.
City of Visalia Code Enforcement also responded to the locations to address business code violations including employees residing at the businesses. The Visalia Police Department will be conducting similar undercover investigations in the future to address complaints regarding prostitution acts being conducted out of massage parlor establishments.
