Shortly before 1:00 a.m., Fresno police officers were called to the Whispering Woods Apartments on Fresno Street near San Jose for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived on scene, a man was found lying dead in a breeze way of the apartment complex. Detectives were on the scene interviewing witnesses for several hours.
The identity of the victim has not been released. This would be Fresno's 32nd murder of the year.
