Police in Visalia are investigating the brutal beating of a woman found early Monday morning outside of Fugazzi's restaurant in Downtown near Locust and Main.
Police say the woman, who has not been identified, was discovered unconscious near the side doorway of the restaurant. In addition to her injuries police believe she may have also been raped.
One person of interest is currently in custody and being interviewed by authorities but police do not consider him a suspect at this time.
The victim is currently listed in critical condition at a Fresno hospital.
