Fresno police have released more information in the suspected DUI crash that killed a 7-year-old boy.

Loren LeBeau is accused of hitting and killing Donovan Maldonado, and injuring the little boy's dad and younger sister as they rode bikes in a crosswalk. Tuesday police chief Jerry Dyer said LeBeau made a phone call shortly after leaving the scene of the crash, during which a friend told him to go back. In a nine page police report, more details of that night are outlined, including specifics about several sobriety tests investigators say LeBeau failed.

"What we are talking about here is not a bad intersection it is about a bad driver who was intoxicated. That is the primary collision factor. A person that made a decision to consume alcohol and get in a car and devastate a family."

Dyer says the there are still details about this investigation that will be kept confidential to protect the prosecution's case. Loren LeBeau is due back in court on August 16th.
