A Central High basketball coach has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after hitting a family of three with his car.

Police say 42-year-old Loren Lebeau hit the family while they were riding their bikes across Shepherd near Millbrook on Wednesday night.

The car hit a father, a two year old girl and a seven year old boy. The father had the two year old girl in a seat on the back of his bike, the 7-year-old boy was on another bike, and was dragged a few hundred yards down the street.

Police say Lebeau initially left the scene, but then returned.

"I don't know if he ran away... what had happened and came back around and i'm the driver and here's my vehicle," said Mike Doyle.

All three victims were taken to the hospital, the seven year old boy is in critical condition. The father and 2-year-old girl suffered serious injuries.
