Florida authorities are concerned for the lives of two young children whose parents allegedly threatened to kill them as part of a suicide pact, and say the family may try to flee the country for Vietnam first.

James Firth, 43, and Mai Dang Firth, 31, were seen in Melbourne on Wednesday with their daughters, Trieu (Kiah) Firth, 2, and Chieu (Kristin) Quan Firth, 4, according to reports.

The Florida Department of Children and Families said the family came to the United States from Vietnam to get treatment for Kristin, who is autistic. The agency stepped in after the Firths allegedly told someone they would murder the children and kill themselves if treatment was too expensive or failed to work.
