A public memorial service will be held Monday for Donovan Maldonado, the 7-year-old boy who was killed last month while crossing the street.

Police say he was hit by a drunk driver.

On Saturday, Kinder Care Learning Center put on an open house to help out the Maldonado family. Donovan and his sister Bella, who was also injured during the incident, attended Kinder Care.

The memorial service will be held Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at the People's Church in northeast Fresno.
