Valley Man Arrested After SWAT Standoff

A man wanted for a murder in Hanford has been arrested after a standoff.

35-year-old Jason Reyes has been wanted for murder. Hanford Police followed leads to Ventura. Friday afternoon, the investigation lead to a dramatic arrest that was caught on camera.

Reyes walked out of the apartment complex with his hands up. Several officers had their guns drawn. Moments later another man surrendered to police. He has been identified as Rose Acajabon.

Jason Reyes has been considered armed and dangerous. He's accused of killing Armando Ramirez in Hanford on the night of Monday March 5th.

It happened in a Rite Aid parking lot. Since then, police have been looking for him. On Friday, Hanford police tracked him down to Ventura.

Officers say he barricaded himself into an apartment complex. He was believed to have a gun.

Officers evacuated the entire area before this arrest was made.

Reyes was booked into the Ventura County Jail on a Kings County warrant for homicide charges.
