Armona Shooting Investigation Tops South Valley News Report

Kings County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for the people responsible for a shooting in Armona...

Deputies say the shooting happened shortly after noon at 14th and Front streets.

Two people inside a car were hit, and managed to drive themselves to the hospital.

But the suspects fled... One on foot, and witnesses say the other drove off in an SUV.

Patricia Ransdell was holding a yard sale when the shooting happened.

"We were here maybe an hour, hour and a half, and I never seen him before, and all of a sudden, gunshots go off, a car took off."

Deputies are still looking for the suspects.

Tulare County Sheriff's deputies are looking for the man they say shot at them after daring them to shoot him.

Deputies were called to a home on south Indiana in Porterville for a home invasion.

Daryl Austin Young was found by deputies standing in the doorway holding a gun.

The man was tazed by deputies before firing a single shot.

Deputies did not fire back.

Young managed to get away out the back of the home.

Also out of Porterville...

Two people have been arrested on drug charges and child endangerment.

Porterville police found Preston Brassfield and Yvette Cavasos inside their home on Morton, destroying narcotics.

Detectives believe drug sales were taking place in the home.

Two small children, ages 2 and 4 were home at the time.

They are now with Child Welfare Services.
