Sanger Police Arrest Murder Suspect

On July 6th at 8:45 p.m., Sanger Police officers were dispatched to a home near Webster and Hawley for a report of a dead person. When officers arrived they found 44-year-old Jose Rodriguez, dead inside the home. Evidence at the scene revealed that Rodriguez died as a result of a violent crime and a full investigation was started.

Over the weekend, investigators developed information and recovered evidence that led to the identity of the suspect, 48-year-old Frank Mireles of Visalia. On Monday at about 6:30 p.m., Sanger detectives arrested Mireles, and he was booked into the Fresno County Jail on a charge of murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
