Everyone knows when they are driving down Kearney Boulevard, the palm trees take over the ride.

But now, some of the palm trees have died, and are being replaced. One by one the old trees are being replaced by new mature trees.

According to the Fresno Bee, Fresno County received federal stimulus money to replace about 100 palm trees. About 20 of them are currently being replaced.

Kearney Boulevard is 11 miles long and leads from downtown Fresno to Kearney Park and is lined with palm and eucalyptus trees.
