Senator: Pregnancy from Rape is God's Intention

A Republican candidate for Senate caused an uproar when he revealed his shocking views on rape.

When a woman is impregnated during a rape, “It is something God intended,” Indiana Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock said Tuesday during a televised debate.

Even in cases of rape and incest, the Hoosier State’s treasurer said he believes abortion should be prohibited. “I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something God intended to happen,” he said.
