Sheriff's Deputies Responding to Family Disturbance Call Find Marijuana Plants, Stolen Pickup

A Family disturbance led deputies to a home where they discovered nearly a dozen marijuana plants and a vehicle reported stolen out of Fresno.

Taken into custody, 29-year-old Santiago Rosas of Madera.

Rosas, who also goes by the name Jimmy, was taken into custody Saturday after deputies were called out to handle a family disturbance at a home located on Sunnyside Avenue, near Road 30½.

When Deputies arrived they could smell the pungent odor of marijuana. Eleven plants approximately 4½ feet tall were found, along with a gold colored Chevy Suburban reported stolen out of Fresno on September 14.

Rosas, who according to jail records, is a self admitted gang associate, claims a relative from San Jose purchased the vehicle a couple of weeks prior.

The vehicle was seized, along with the 11 marijuana plants and Rosas was booked into to Madera County Department of Corrections. Bail set at $75,000.00
