Shuttle Endeavour Sightings in the Valley?

September 20, 2012 Updated Sep 20, 2012 at 11:58 AM PDT

The Endeavour left its home in Florida this week on the top of a 747, bound for its final destination, the California Science Center in Los Angeles, ending its nine year mission as a space shuttle.

On the way, it stopped in Texas, causing traffic congestion as drivers were riveted by the sight of the supersonic shuttle.

The Endeavour is now expected to tour California on Friday as the 100-ton shuttle jets from Sacramento and on to San Francisco. Then, it's on down Highway 101 and over San Jose before making its way to Los Angeles.

Its possible but not yet known if the shuttle will make its way over the valley as it makes its way either north or down south.

The Endeavour's ETA in LA on Friday is about 11 AM, triggering concerns of widespread traffic congestion as the shuttle passes over several major LA freeways.
