So. Cal Woman Held on Suspicion of Texting While Driving With Infant in Her Lap

(Daily Mail) A mother-of-three was arrested after police found her driving on the freeway while texting and holding her baby daughter in her lap.

29-year-old Shawndeeia Joann Bowen of Hawthorne, was arrested on Tuesday after a motorist saw her and called police.

Bowen was not wearing a seat belt, nor was her 4-year-old daughter. her 1-year-old was sitting on her lap and 2-year-old son was in an unsecured car seat.

The woman's three children were taken into protective custody.
