A pair of southern California bank robbers made quite a scene late this morning when they tossed money from their getaway car as they lead police on a slow speed chase through Los Angeles.

The pursuit began following a bank robbery in the Santa Clarita area. The robbers drove more than 35 miles south where they spent some 20 minutes on a looping, zigzagging path through neighborhood streets.

More than a dozen times during the pursuit, handfuls of cash were thrown out of the backseat car window. The car was eventually blocked, where police arrested two men before a crowd that grew to hundreds of onlookers.
