A high school student was filmed enduring an attack from bullies by a news crew who were interviewing him - about bullying.
Preston Deener, 15, was preparing for an interview outside his school in Brunswick, Maryland with local station You4State when three larger students walked over to him.
'The student came up to me and pushed me out of the way and said "What are you recording?"' Preston explained afterwards. "All of sudden, the student was chasing me and I needed help.'
Reporter Katie Kyros, who was about to begin interviewing the teenager, said one of the three students started hitting the youngster in the head, unfazed by the audience.
'One of the boys lunged towards Preston and started hitting him in the head so quickly,' Kyros said. 'I was shocked. They didn't even care I was standing there and yelling at them.'
After the incident, Preston explained he ran from the bullies rather than face them as last week he was suspended for three days for hitting one back after they tackled him.
Now he vows to go to the administrators instead, and his mother hopes this latest incident, which was partly caught on camera, will force the school to take more action.
