Fresno police say one of their officers was forced to open fire on a wanted parolee Monday afternoon, after the suspect threatened the officer with a knife.
It happened at an apartment complex on Kings Canyon and Sunnyside around 3 p.m.
The suspect was shot at least once and later died Community Regional Medical Center.
The officer is on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.
