The suspect shot and killed by police in southeast Fresno on Thursday afternoon has been identified.
Authorities say 35 year old Jimmy Phea was shot and killed after he nearly took the life of an officer near Backer and Huntington.
A woman called police to say her brother was high on drugs and attacking her. When police arrived Phea attacked an officer and there was a struggle. That's when the man was shot and killed.
Police say Phea was a parolee from Michigan with outstanding warrants.
