The Fresno County Board of Supervisors have made a decision, albeit temporary, regarding the handling of animal control operations in the county.
By a 4-1 vote, it was decided that animals will be housed at the former coroners building off Neilsen Avenue.
The local SPCA is terminating its contract with Fresno at the end of September and will cease from providing services to the county. The Board of Supervisors will meet once again in 30 days to discuss finding a more permanent facility.
