Viewed from ground level, Hurricane Sandy looked pretty fierce as it ravaged New York City. But seen from one fixed spot, in footage captured by a webcam atop the New York Times building in midtown Manhattan, it looks mesmerizing, even poetic.
The time-lapse video — which stretches from about noon Monday to 9:30 a.m. Friday (eastern time) — is definitely worthy of repeat viewings.
